WSP is seeking a motivated Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services Group in the Inyo/Mono, California area.
Duties and Responsibilities: -Read and interpret project plans and specifications -Monitor construction for compliance with project documents, on-site material soils, asphaltic concrete sampling & testing and concrete compression samples -Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures using client computer programs. -Inspect bridge construction (based on Caltrans Standards) -Perform other duties as assigned Talent is the essence of meeting our client s objectives, goals and challenges. Minimum Qualifications: -High school diploma and 5 years of inspection experience in highway/bridge/public works industry or 5 years of experience in the highway/public works sector working for a contractor or public agency OR Engineering or Construction Management Degree and 1 year of experience in the highway/bride /public works industry (any type of position). -Knowledge of Caltrans procedures is desirable -Ability to travel to construction sites (local) About WSP USA
