What do you get to do in this position?
Responsible for overseeing the P&L operations of the Livermore, CA Service facility for Schneider Electric USA Inc. Key duties include ensuring financial objectives are met, driving the equipment modernization strategy, talent management, resolving day to day operational issues and promoting teamwork amongst internal and external customers. Promotes the highest level of safety awareness and ensures compliance by direct reports. Engages in project and quotation reviews in conjunction with the sales team.
1. Develop, evaluate, and review technical service procedures and standards; monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, priorities spending, and achieve timeliness, reliability, and customer satisfaction standards. 2. Oversee the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives 3. Manage all resources (material and personnel) to achieve efficient streamlined production 4. Ensure high quality products are produced on-time and complete 5. Clear effective communication and liaising with all areas of the company with regards to production including raw material availability, promised delivery times, delivery time adjustments to minimize production interruptions 6. Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectivities, and procedures; conferring with staff members as necessary 7. Training, mentoring, motivating and supervision of all production personnel; utilize team approach and involvement effectively 8. Responsible for personnel administration and records 9. Effective development of internal team members and delegation of responsibilities where appropriate 10. Ensure Company compliance with OSHA regulations 11. Pre-production planning and scheduling 12. Responsible for training all new associates in proper methods and procedures to perform job 13. Continuous monitoring and review of staff performance; follow through with necessary interventions for improvement 14. Plan, priorities, and implement service activities to fulfill maintenance contracts, modernization products (retrofills, retrofits, & customer switchgear) and service-level agreements. 15. Prepare and present presentations to internal and external customers on Schneider Electric modernization and upgrade capabilities.
Qualifications This job might be for you if:
A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field desired along with 5-10 years supervising and/or managing manufacturing operations in a fast-paced Services environment.
Experience with 480v - 38kv electrical distribution equipment
Strong background with quality management and safe work processes
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
Must have strong organizational skills; be self-motivated and ability to motivate others
Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities concurrently
